Pathophysiology and Management
The course will provide an overview of the pathophysiology of lower urinary tract dysfunction in OAB and neurogenic detrusor overactivity, relating to neurophysiological mechanisms. In addition it will discuss the current evidence base for management. (25 attendees)
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to describe the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of overactive bladder. They will also be able to describe and discuss the methods used for diagnosing and treating neurogenic and non-neurogenic overactive bladder. In addition they will be able to deliver the course in their clinical areas as part of a developmental training and educational commitment.
